About Abba
Abba is the pup we kept from our "A" litter. She is something else! This dog does not know how to do anything in slow motion... We just love her enthusiasm for life and everything in it! She is a short and sturdy girl with phenominal structure and a pretty head. She sure takes after her mom Finesse in the looks dept and sometimes we have to look twice to tell them apart! Abba loves the show ring and earned 7 points towards her CKC championship in one weekend in 2006 by taking 3 Best of Winners and 4 Best Puppy in Breed!! In August 2006 she took a 5 point major towards her AKC Championship and two reserves to 5 point majors at the CIKC shows in Alaska at just 13 months old!!
After taking close to a year off from showing, Abba returned to the show ring with a BANG!! She had matured beautifully and earned 8 more points from the Bred-by class in May 07 towards her AKC Championship by taking winners bitch 3 out of 3 shows (and two of those wins were also Best of breeds!). Then in June 07 she completed her CKC Championship and monopolized the points and the Best of Breeds at the YKC shows!! She also was recognized in the Group ring with a Group 3 placement! We are pleased to announce she is Borealbreeze's first home-bred Canadian Champion. Way to go Abba!!
Abba decided to let her younger housemate Gidget tear up the Alaskan show ring in 2008, taking several reserves but anable to beat Gidget for those last 2 points. So, in May 2009, with Gidget finished and at home, we brought Abba back out to the shows in Fairbanks Alaska and the first day of the weekend she rocked the ring taking Best of Winners from the Bred-By class to finally earn her American Championship! We are so proud of our Abba - our first home-bred dual champion, finishing both her Canadian and American Champion from the Bred by class.
In 2010 Abba earned her CKC Rally Novice and CD Obedience titles, as well as competing in UKC Rally, earning her URO2 titles and even getting two High in Trials!! We are sitting on 2/3 legs towards our AKC CD, unfortunately we weren't able to complete this title before we lost Abba. In April of 2015, three months shy of her 10th birthday, we unexpectedly and very suddenly lost Abba to an aortic aneurysm. Running around playing like a 3 year old dog, not a care in the world, and then suddenly she was gone. The ache in our heart is so very real. We miss you so much Abbadabbadoo.
