January 2009 - Update!
Jan 17/09 - Gidget and Jed became the proud parents of 4 beautiful babies, 3 girls and one boy. The babies and mom are all doing well! You can see more updates and pictures on our D Litter page. All puppies have wonderful homes waiting with anticipation!
Jan 24/09 - Bristol (Borealbreeze Bring Da Bling), owned by Dan & Laura Brodigan, won Winners Bitch for 2 points at the Alaska Kennel Club show in Anchorage. The follow day she took reserve. Way to go Bristol and Laura!!
December 2008 - Update!
Gidget (Am CH Godiva vom Gipfelfeuer) was bred to Jed (Am/Can CH Riverhaus Jed V't Rijkenspark TD) and pregnancy has been confirmed. We are excited about the combination and expect to meet our "dreamy" D litter about January 16th 2009. Stay tuned for updates! The pedigree of this litter is posted on my "Puppies" page. All puppies from this litter have wonderful homes waiting for them. 
November 2008 - Updates!
Lots of things happening this fall!
Our "C" litter puppy, Centavo, is staying here with us at Borealbreeze and now has his own page. Go check out his pics under 'Our Dogs'! We just couldn't part with this sweetheart and look forward to growing him up.
Finesse's kids have been doing great! Brewster and his mom Kim have passed their Delta Therapy dog certification and can now bring love and joy to those less fortunate. Both Bristol (owned by Laura & Dan) and Brandy (owned by Susan) showed earlier this month and each took reserve Winners Bitch at their respective shows. Brandy also earned her first leg in AKC agility and is doing so well at it!!
Roxy (owned by Dawn) had her eyes tested at a CERF clinic and passed with flying colours. Congratulations to all of our Borealbreeze babies on your wonderful accomplishments!

Gidget has also been busy completing her health clearances and finished the last of those with a clear Thyroid, von Willebrands disease and final clearances for normal hips and elbows. We have exciting litter plans for her and soon hope to hear the pitter patter of little feet here at Borealbreeze again. We will keep you updated as our plans progress.
August 30 2008 - C puppy is 3 weeks old

Centavo is doing great and weighs in at a whopping 6lbs at 3 weeks old. He is a sweetheart and becoming very active now.

July 31st 2008 - Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Alaska Regional Specialty
Brewster takes Reserve Winners Dog, and Gidget blows us away with Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a 4 point major!! Thank you Judge John Cole!! 
July 4th 2008 - Confirmed Pregnancy
Finesse is confirmed by ultrasound to be pregnant. These special "Cross Country" puppies are expected to arrive around August 7th.

Gidget takes WB/BOW/BOS under Pat Hastings for another 2 points! Whisky takes WD also under Pat Hastings for one point! We are very proud of our youngsters!

June 13th 2008 - Finesse is home!!
Finesse arrived home tonight from her big trip to the other corner of the country, New Brunswick. We are so grateful to Trish and the Wright family for taking excellent care of her while she was visiting them and also to Paul & Lynne Bagnall of Treeline Bernese for meeting Finesse in Edmonton and helping her change planes to come home!! Thanks to you all, we are so happy to have her home! It was a big trip, and hopefully worth it! We'll find out in a few short weeks. 
June 5th 2008 - Happy Birthday Tessa!
Today in Belgium Gidget's great-great grandmother Tessa turned 13 years old! She looks great and is doing wonderful. Congratulations Tessa and Jeroen!! June 5th 2008 - C Litter news
Finesse travelled all the way to New Brunswick and has been bred to Am/Can CH Riverhaus Jed van't Rijkenspark TD. If the breeding is successful we expect puppies August 7th.

May 24, 25, 26 2008 - Tanana Valley Kennel Club Shows, Fairbanks Alaska:
Gidget (Godiva vom Gipfelfeuer) takes Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Breed under judge Roger Hartinger; Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best Opposite Sex under judge Charles Trotter; and Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Breed (over a male special!) under judge Annella Cooper!! We are thrilled with these results and she picked up 7 points (including one 3pt major) towards her AKC Championship this weekend. A huge thank you goes out to our dear friend Anneliese Tschannen of Windriver Rottweilers for handling Gidget to these Breed wins when I was handling Abba. THANK YOU!!

Whisky (Maglod-Falvi Whisky) takes Reserve Winners Dog under judges Roger Hartinger and Annella Cooper, and Winners Dog under judge Charles Trotter for one point!! We are very pleased with how he did for a 6 month old baby dog at his very first show!

May 2008 - Brewster wins the Bissell MVP Photo contest!!
Chris and Kim are thrilled to announce that their boy Brewster (Borealbreeze Alcan Adventurer) was the grand prize winner of the Bissell Vacuum cleaner MVP photo contest! They won a new vacuum, and $10,000.00 to donate to a charity of their choice. They donated it to the Peoria Park Foundation to build a dog park in Peoria Illinois. Brewster also flew down to Chicago for a photo shoot as he will now appear on the box of Bissell's Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum. He also appeared on the jumbotron in Times Square NYC! Chris & Kim are just tickled pink with their celebrity boy and we are so proud of them all for being great ambassadors for the breed!!
